Got a coleman furnace/ac presidential 2 and when u flip the switch on the unit to cooling it automatically turns condenser compressor both fans.. There's a new t-stat. I actually took the t-stat wires off and the ac unit turned on fully? All the wires r were they belong? I do hvac for a living but this has got me stumped. Pleas help me!! Thanks

My guess would be that you have a short in the t-stat wires near the stat. Disconnect all stat wires at the furnace and trouble shoot at the furnace control board by jumping the correct terminals for heat, cool, fan. If every thing works correctly when you are bypassing all thermostat wires from stat to furnace, then you know you have a problem with the stat or stat wires. Let me know what you find.
