I recently moved out of an rental home due to 2 repeated burglary. I asked the landlord to activate the security system and he kept putting it off. The new landlord just took over and my home got broken in again immediately after. The landlord said he will speak with the owner to release me from the lease due to the break in and did not do so. I gave my 30 day notice and asked to re rent the home. Can a landlord refuse to allow you to help rent property so you can be released from the lease? And should I contact the owner about the bugarlies because the landlord refuse to do so?
