Could it be possible that it is the belts? It was able to do a whole mini cycle on delicate but it won't do anything larger or anything on normal cycle.The timer still ticks and moves it just misses parts of the cycle, the agitation part mostly and then it won't spin at times...
You should definitely check it out, but it seems to be a remote possibility because it would seem that the same belts are used on all cycles.
