How do I program my harbor breeze ceiling fan to work with my remote
Both the fan and remote have to be set on the same frequency in order to work. Both units have a "DIP switch" which are a bunch of little switches. The remote DIP is probably located under the battery. The fan is somewhere under the canopy of the fan (instruction manual should show the location); but it should be easy to find. These two sets of switches need to be set the same (switch up or down) all of them. There should be a mark on each to orient the switches. So set them up, up down, up (whatever). You might get interference from a neighbor and have to reset them (light magically turns on for no reason.) This happened to me. Once you find these small DIP switches you will see what I mean. Good luck!
