Me and my partner have been trying since October 2012 for a baby. I am unsure if I have had my period due to the fact some times I bleed during sex ( not a period) and I am unsure of this bleeding hid my period due to the fact I bleed for 2 days after sex. My period is usual 5 days long and never late I was due on the 5th of jan 2013. We have taken a few home tests but have come back negative. I've been feeling ill in the mornings but quickly recover from this feeling about half an hour after. My tummy has been feeling strange and tight I got tender boobs a week ago but this only lasted for a day. Am I pregnant?

If you were pregnant, it would be too early in the pregnancy for your abdomen to feel "tight" or "strange."

Now, we need to know why you bleed during sex. Have you discussed this with your doctor? This is not normal.

One cannot diagnose a pregnancy based on symptoms. In fact, it cannot even be based on a positive urine pregnancy test. Seeing that you are 10 days late, the best thing for you to do at this point, is to wait until your next period is due.

While you may be regular, it is not uncommon at least once in your life to skip a period.

Until that time, treat yourself as if you are pregnant. Eat healthy, no smoking/drugs/alcohol, and get plenty of rest. It would also be in your best interest to start taking a prenatal vitamin in case you are indeed pregnant.

I am more concerned about bleeding during sex, this is not normal. Is it rough sex, Not enough lubrication ?

And as noted missing a period now and then is common.

All of the signs are not during the first month, so most likely they are not signs of pregnancy .
Wait one more week and do a pregnancy test with first urine of the morning ( best results)
