The auger that throws the snow in the chute works but the other one doesn't on our snow blower
Make and model number?
It is a John Deere but I don't know the model number. It is a 4 hp.
The impeller is what throws the snow out the shoot. If I understand correctly that part works. The auger is the part that pulls the snow into the housing. Again if I understand correctly that is what is not working.
The auger will have shear pins, one for each side of the auger. These connect the auger to the shaft inside that is turning. These are designed to break or shear off if (when) you hit a rock or some other object that would damage the machine).
Shear pins will probably be about the size of 1/4" bolt. Will look like a small bolt going through the auger shaft.
We checked the pins and they are not broken.
