To whom it may concern: At age 35 I got Type 1 (insulin dependent ) diabetes. I was at the time, and always have been my perfect ideal weight ---- never more than two pounds overweight. So---- how did I get type 1 diabetes? They also call it juvenile diabetes because it usually has its onset during childhood.
