Works great till spin cycle. It drains then makes a loud noise when its supposed to spin. Gear shot? Help!

You will need a good meter to check out this washer. You cannot diagnose it any other way. Most likely you have a bad solenoid that controls the spin cycle. The solenoid should read between 500 - 3000 Ω.
