Two drunks fighting is par for the course, but if you are sober and he is drunk then guess what, he will still act up and possibly hurt you. But now you will know that him and alcohol don't mix, never did. NOW WHAT?

If he won't stop drinking will you leave? Foolish to think you can control a violent drunk. He won't remember hurting you, but you will.
