Does the wax ring dissolve over a period? It wasn't there when I lifted the toilet off the floor... please tell me.where it went... thank u

Wax rings don't just disappear, so the wax gasket must never have been used to begin with.

I've seen it a couple times where the discharge cone of the toilet bowl stuck into the drain line far enough AND the drain never clogged over time so there were never any issues until the customer decided to install a new toilet.

Install your toilet using a wax ring with horn and you should be all set!
