How old are the children? I would say puberty would end the idea of children not of the same sex sharing a bedroom together. No, I don't think there is any law, it is just common sense with a lot of decency thrown in.
Under the age of 5 - 6 its OK.
There are not "laws" there are rules and guidelines of "Children and Family Services"
There are rules and guidelines of "adoption agencies"
Also this is sometimes used in fighting for child custody in family court.
Not laws but rules that are enforced
Lisa, Let me reverse this by asking you why you are asking. Generally, people ask this question because they are facing a situation where they are worried about breaking the law.
As noted, I know of no civil or criminal law in the US that deals with this. However, many areas have guidelines about this under certain circumstances that you may have to deal with.
