Delay between air conditioning compressor and furnace fan
It seems that there is a noticeable delay between when the air conditioning compressor starts and when the furnace fan starts, I would say five or ten seconds. I don't recall it being this way. Is it normal, to allow the coils to cool before the airflow begins? Or is there a capacitor or something needing attention? (There is also a delay in the fan stopping after the compressor stops, presumably to dry the coils.)
My thermostat is a Lux TX9000TS programmable which has been giving problems by occasionally not kicking on the compressor or fan when demand temperature is reached and the cooling icon is flashing. I am currently watching how things are since I did a hardware and software reset on the thermostat.
