Wisconsin plumbing code for roof vent height
Home inspector said I have to raise the plumbing roof vent pipes. They are 6" above the roof but are no where near the peak. House is 40 years old and they have never been a problem even with heavy snow.

    Thanks

    Hey Gary,
Here's what the code calls for,

    12.4 VENT TERMINALS

    12.4.1 Extension Above Roofs

Vent pipes shall terminate not less than 6 inches above the roof, measured from the highest point where the vent intersects the roof. EXCEPTION: Where a roof is used for any purpose other than weather protection, vents shall extend at least 7 feet above the roof and shall be properly supported.
How much does the inspector want you to raise the bents? Let me know. Tom
