I have a Hampton Bay fan w/ lights and an aftermarket remote. Remote battery was replaced and now we rarely get high speed to work. Occasionally it will switch to hi but mostly it runs slower than low at all times. If I connect it direct at the wall will I fry the fan & remote on the fan?
