Sorry Corey, neitehr of your posts make any sense. You need to start over and give us as much detail as possible.

I'm assuming you mean the black wire connected to the brass screws on a receptacle is getting hot?

The screws are loose or the switch is bad.

What I do not understand is how anyone can answer a question that makes no sense.
