What if bathtub installed without stringer on studs, is it OK or not? Thank you.

I install a stringer with every tub UNLESS the manufacturer's instructions say otherwise... ;)

If this is a cast iron or steel tub... absolutley required.

If a fiberglass or acrylic unit you need to consult with the installation manual (or tech. services at company).

Some acrylic units want a bedding substrate and some void warranty if a bedding substrate is used, so again, really is a manufacturer specific question... ;)
