Swollen lymp node on neck sensitive to touch on 10 year old boy

Lymph nodes are small glands in the body that play an important role in the immune system. Swollen lymph nodes/glands might be due to a viral or bacterial infection. Other conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis and certain cancers including leukemia can occur. Swollen lymph nodes are common and usually indicate the immune system is fighting an infection.
