    As far as the second part of your question... yes you do have to pay. Unless you enjoy sitting in jail.

    If the custody parent has remarried, and they want to adopt, you can sign over your rights. Beyond that, you can't give up your rights.

    If for some reason, you were allowed to lose your rights, except adoption,yes you would still pay child support

    You are apparently laboring under some false assumption that you can give up your rights. Even in the unlikely event you were allowed to, you would not be allowed to stop child support. If parents could just get out of child support by giving up rights there are loads of deadbeat parents who would just abandon their children.
