Hello my name is Otis Ward I have a chilled water for laser.In the basement of my eight story building in November, the outdoor weather air temperature was 38 degree/F and it was to cold to run the chiller how can I put enough load on the chiller on order to keep it running?

Otis you will need to pick up a heat source. Unless you can find a free one this can get expensive. Sometimes you can use the domestic water supply in the structure (our underground water here stays 55 degrees F or so all year around). Then you use a water to air heat exchanger or better water to water heat exchanger. Sometimes the structure will have enough residual heat from a boiler or furnace and that can also work. It will probably be best for you to contact an engineer close to your location since calculations will need to be made. Good luck.

You can use a low ambient fan motor speed controler on condenser fan motor to maintain higher head pressure which would maintain sufficient head pressure to prevent low suction pressures at low outdoor temperatures. Not very expensive to have installed depending on what size chiller you have.
