Can you please restate your question. Its not very clear. Your husband sold the property 10 years ago, but you are getting divorced now? Why would you let someone stay in your house who doesn't belong there?
I believe that she is telling us that her husband refuses to move.
In a divorce, both parties are entitled to an equitable division of the marital property, including property which (as in this case) is solely owned by the wife. His friend appears to have advised him not to move until the divorce is concluded. What OP needs to do is file a motion in the divorce court to have him be required to move.
