How do I remove spout diverter popup Moen to check.Excess water coming from spout in shower mode.

On some of the moen spouts there is an 'allen' style set screw on the bottom of the spout by the wall. Typically the spout simply unscrews from the spout stub.
When a diverter stops working well I do not repair it. I replace the spout.
