When I found the Danco 9B-5D for Sayco diverter stem, I thought my problem would be easy to solve. However, I've hit a snag, that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere yet. I can't get the old stem to come out. I've removed all the nuts, but it seems to be built into an elbow in the shower piping. Has anyone seen this? I can't replace the stem if I can't get the old one out.
