My son is a diagnosed schizophrenic in a prison hospital in CT. He has been there since July without sentencing for violation of probabtion. At this point he has no place to reside when he gets discharged. I have a room (I am his mother) in CA and I wanted to know what I need to do to get him transferred out here. Please help

The advice Judy sent you to is valid if you're seeking a transfer... Your son isn't seeking a transfer. He's seeking placement... That can and SHOULD be done from INSIDE BEFORE he is released.. He has some case manager of some person in charge of him while he's there. THAT is the person who can arrange his discharge DIRECTLY to California. If your son is incapable of making these arrangements himself, then it falls on you, or his lawyer.
