My Kenmore washer just stopped, it started filling but then just stopped and locked up. I unplugeed it but upon replugging it in the prong kept popping. I tried another small appliance and it worked just fine, what could it be

I suspect your fill vale solenoid is dead and has shorted but you should check for water pressure reaching the valve too.
