Must do a Power down, 1st thing in the morning, then it runs great all day (off at 9:00 am, on at 5:00 pm, off at 9:pm) BUT then it will NOT start up without a Power down then it will run again all day every day!

That's why they call it a Day and Night, it don`t know wheather to run during day or during the night, but can`t do both,
Does it have a control/circuit board on it ? If so does it have a LED light that might be flashing a code
And if so count the flashes
Then look on the inside of door/cover and see if there anything to tell you what the code is telling you to look for

I`m not a day/night tech so don`t know a lot about them
