My cord is not broken, it just pulls straight out without any "pull" on whatever makes it start. I got online to see how to repair it, but found your question/answer site. Thought someone on here might have the answer to my problem... without my having to go buy a new blower. The blower worked fine last week, although I did have a bit of a problem with the first couple of pulls on the rope. It seemed to stick, but eventually the motor started. This week... nothing. There is no tension on the cord at all. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the pawl isn't grabbing on the recoil pulley ,
Will have to take apart and see what's up.
Be careful and watch how you take it apart ,and put back together in reverse . Sorry but this is the I can do .
