    I am writing a paper on BCG matrix in marketing. I am having trouble coming up with examples of each. I came up with one for cash cow, but I really need to mention several of each in my paper. Pleas help with examples and why they would fall into each category.

    Question Marks: Low Market Share / High Market Growth
    examples:

    Stars: High Market Share / High Market Growth
    examples:

    Cows: High Market Share / Low Market Growth
    examples:
    A storage unit facility. Makes lots of money with little effort.


    Dogs: Low Market Share / Low Market Growth

    For Dog, how about a local business (named) in your area?

    For Question Mark, how about a new chain added to a profitable industry, such as H.H. Gregg to electronics (Gregg is moving into failed Chicago big-box store space)

    You figure out the last one, the Star.
