Does lightning set off an arc protection breaker?
I don't have any details other than my breaker goes off and I wondered if lightning could be the cause.

Does it only trip when there is a lightning storm passing?

A better question is "CAN lightning set off an arc protection breaker?". I'd say probably, yes.
To answer the original question would be no.

Arc-fault breakers, especially original versions from a few years ago, are notorious for nuisance tripping. Meaning they can trip for pretty much no valid reason.
