I have 2003 ford escort. The key turns over but it won't start or stay running.the brake lights were stuck but the switch was loose.fixed it. Got about a mile down the road now it won't start.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

. Check for spark.

. Check for fuel.
