When I pull the chain to turn the lights on my ceiling fan it doesn't do anything. No clicking sound, nothing. This means no lights either. Is there a part I need to buy and replace to fix this problem or is this fan a goner?

I'm not clear as to what you are saying.

Is the fan controlled by a pull switch and the lights controlled by a wall switch? Or are both functions controlled by pull switches on the fan unit?

Has the fan and lights been working previously or is this a new install?

Have you verified that the circuit breaker that is protecting the supply for this fixture is working properly?

Just so we are clear, you only have pull chains for both fan and light, no remote or wall switches at all, right?
