Check/replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor. Easy job.

ECT Sensors affect fuel injector pulse width. They are a temperature dependent resistor (thermistor), whose resistance decreases as the engine coolant temperature increases. They provide a richer mixture when cold, leaner mixture when hot.
