    Can your boss take off one day a weeks pay for eight weeks of the year
    My boss has taken one days pay off me for eight weeks, is this legal, I am on a salary.

    We need to know more. It is certainly possible for an employer to reduce your pay for a period.

    If you mean he reduced your salary by 20% for 8 weeks then yes, he can do that unless you have a written contract stating salary for this time.

    At least one state has a labor law statute requiring that the employer give the employee advance notice of his rate of pay. If the employer reduced the rate of pay after the work was done, it is doubtful that the employer can get away with this.
