I have a 2 year old Trane system with a Honeywell thermostat. During the cold months the system runs continuously, never stopping during the night. On top of this, the Aux heat will come on quite regularly even though the thermostat has maintained the desired set temperature. This is frustating seeing that the unit is so new. The company that installed this system came out and checked the system, couldn't find a problem, so installed a shutoff switch for Aux heat so that I could control it manually. To me this is a "band aid" fix. Any help and advice much appreciated.
