Califdad is correct. Your agreement to the adoption would end your relationship with the child including any support responsibility.

But don't start celebrating yet. It is unlikely that the boyfriend will be allowed to adopt the child. She will have to marry him and stay married for a period before a court will approve such an adoption. This depends on local laws (ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.)

If your area allows for adoption by a boyfriend, many areas require them to be married first.
