My 1997 honda accord started skipping and jumping on my way home from a restaurant. My mom bought this car brand new and it's been driven by me and her only. I treat the car like a baby and everything we have done to it is professionally taken care of. Im completely confused because earlier it was running fine, and I come back out to it and get in and it started skipping every time I hit the gas. If I let the vehicle coast it does not skip, so that is how I got it home, caution lights and lots of coasting. What could possibly be wrong with my car?

I'm not sure what skipping and jumping means. I would likely replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, if the CEL comes on and goes off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II):
