We purchased 2 used hunter ceiling fans and then bought 2 remotes from Lowe's (part#85095-01)and need to program them to work. Any ideas? Thanks

Do you have both the transmitter and receiver? Was this fan set up for remote to begin with? What do the instructions say?

Yes the receiver is built in and the fans were set up with remotes before. We don't have any instructions.

Assuming the frequency of the units are the same, make sure the DIP switches on both parts are set the same. Then, wire the fan and give it a try. You will only need 1 power feed for a remote controlled fan. If you have 2 switches, wire nut off one power lead in the box.
