How to get a 2 year old german shepherd to gain weight

Typically german shepherds, which are a breed of working dogs, reach adulthood in 2 years and should weight about 70 lbs. That really isn't much for a dog that large and you should not try to pack the pounds on him, but offer him good protein rich food if he is fairly active. He will only eat what he needs. I have never had a dog that is a glutton if he is fed properly.
