I have a lux ute 85 model 3y engineauto uses a lot of fuel just had it tuned runs well but seems gutles do you think I need a new carby

Very possible. Any other symptoms? Like soot at the tailpipe?
What mileage are you getting?
Has anyone considered rebuilding the carb you have now?

. Rebuild carburetor.

. Check engine timing with a timing light.

. Ensure only NGK spark plugs were installed--the same ones that originally were recommended for the car.
