Yes and no. There can be a divorce and it doesn't mean it was legal. But can pass through the courts and you could have been notified by publication. (in the newspaper).

He could have lied and said he didn't know where you were.

No he no where I live I have not had any papers to say we are divorce

If he hasn't indicated that your divorced then you still are and maybe you need to file something.
