Extract plastic toy from sewer line?
About 15 ft from a basement toilet there is a 3 inch round and about 1 inch thick plastic toy. It is lodged tightly in the old cast iron line. I used a power auger to try to push it through or break it up. Then I cakked a plumber thinking he could easily attach simething to the end of the snake which would either chew up the toy or catch it and bring it back. No such thing. He used a camera and confirmed the identity of the object. He says we have to use a mor eexpensive camera to locate it ($378) and then break up the concrete ($!! ). Seems to me that this is only plastic. Is there not a more creative solution?
