Air conditioning stopped working, is flooding floor, and makes bubbling noise.
I have an issue with my a/c. I noticed yesterday that I had an excessive amount of water in and around my unit. I checked the drain and it is clean and clear. It seems as though the unit housing the A-coil is condensating excessively and the water draining from the walls of the unit is leaking around the pan along with the coils dripping into the pan. What would cause so much condensation? Could it be blower speed or low refridgerant? The unit sounds like running water/bubbling noise coming from A-coil area of the unit. Outdoor fan is running fine and voltage checks good. The air flow in the house seems to be reduced compared to before I found the water as well.

There is no such thing as excessive condensation, unless there is an air leak, letting moist air from outside, into your home.

There is no way the coil can make enough condensate to overwhelm the drain line; it has to have a blockage, somewhere, maybe down the line.

If the A/C isn't blowing as hard, check your filter. If it's OK, check the a-coil, where air is flowing into it; it's probably clogged or frozen. You can tell if it's freezing, just by looking at the tubes running through it. They should be moist, not frosty.

Either way, more moisture, without an air leak from outside, means that the coil is running cooler than it usually does, which means low freon or restricted airflow, because the coil is freezing, and/or not getting enough air circulation across it. One of these is probably the case, as the housing shouldn't really have condensation on it.
