    Bryant furnace overheat and fire
I had a technician replace a draft inducer assembly in my Bryant high efficiency gas furnace. 15 minutes after he left heavy black smoke poured from the furnace. Turned out the plastic condensate drip pan melted and caused all the smoke damage and also caused damage to the freon tubing. The draft inducer had no fire damage. Any idea what went wrong.

It would need to be field inspected to come to a conclusion.
