As a prior officer I have thrown dozens of people against my car and on the ground. Of course they were resisting and would not obey my commands to get on the ground, or to but something down.

And I have seen it used to run hookers or dealers out of certain parts of town ( not right but again the people were breaking the law and not agreeing to leave area.

So after having this done, was someone charged ?

Yes officers do break the law by throwing people and leaving marks if I did that to a off duti police officer I would be in jail. Respect as you say you're a police officer .what you do to people by throwing them.I don't even due that to my dog.if someone threw you they go to jail so what gives you the power that's abuse.

Do you realize how many police officers are on the other side of the coin?
The Police officers in our town City and county are great. They protect our neighborhood and our elderly.

I have seen police officers being cursed and belittled and they didn't do anything except put the offender in the car. If someone tried to accost them they have no alternative but to defend themselves. I take it yo did nothing to warrant their behavior?:rolleyes: I doubt that. We have a city police officer who lives in our subdivision. We also have a State Patrolman.Nicest guys you would ever want to meet.

I'm not an expert in this or anything. I will say this, Police officers risk their life everyday for very little pay and they do because most of them are in for the right reasons.

Please answer the questions that were asked of you if you want information on what to do next other than following the advice already given - contact a Civil Rights Attorney. I find your bad luck to be remarkable - this incident PLUS the "State" has taken your children.

If you want to debate how/what/why Police Officers behave the way they do and what they are entitled to do or not to do, post this on a discussion board.

I would say that 99.9% of the people on this Board have not been abused, thrown to the ground, put in jail for no reason or otherwise been abused by the Police. You have apparently had this happen to you twice.

I think cops who beat people up to get them to hold still would do better to spend more time talking and less hitting. If someone's an immediate threat to themselves or someone else that's one thing, but beating someone up because they won't lie face down on the pavement seems barbaric to me. Often people in these situations are already upset for other reasons, they need to be calmed down, not beaten.

I met someone a while ago who had been beaten up by police. She was 20 years old and her face and body were covered with giant purple bruises. I had a chance to get to know her a little and I can't think of any reason besides impatience and wanting to subdue her. Mothers tell their children, "Use your words." Why shouldn't we hold cops to the same level of civility as we do a 5 year old?

We SHOULD, of course... But, there's a segment of society who believes the people the cops beat up DESERVE to be beaten up. You've seen 'em. They wear blue uniforms, and eat doughnuts.

A PERFECT example is the video you've ALL seen, of the Seattle cop who kicks a victim whose already laying on the ground while saying something like "you got me, Homey??". You cannot blame an entire profession for the actions of "some." I have posted that there are bad Cops; I've never seen you post that there are good Cops.

Do some people join the Force so they can wear a uniform and threaten and beat people up? Without a doubt.

Are "they" all - or the majority - like that? No. I don't think they are. I don't think you can blame all Police because a 15 year old girl gave two Cops some "lip." I also think unless and until I see the video coverage I don't entirely believe her side of it. Not saying it didn't happen. I don't necessarily believe either side is 100% right or wrong.

And if "we" are answering the OP did anyone read his litany of problems including two separate incidents (or is it three) or his children being "taken away" by CPS because CPS is looking for children who can be adopted - ?

The good Cop/bad Cop question is one for a discussion board. OP isn't willing to answer any questions, chosing instead to post the same "stuff" again and again so maybe it's time to move it, anyway.

I worked Federal enforcement. There were some bad Officers. I wasn't one of them, nor did I eat donuts or slap 15-year old kids around nor should I be tarred with the same brush.

Did I and do I have attitude? Yes, I do, and I'm the first one to say it.

No, I don't know that. I don't know how you know what every Cop is thinking or says or does.

I think we are reading about 30% of the story her.

I hated working for the Government - the name of the game was "how many days before I can retire." No one much cared about anything else.

But I have dated Cops, loved Cops, hated Cops, lived with Cops, been given tickets by Cops, worked with Cops - and they are like anyone else. Some good, some bad, some indifferent.

I don't think you can blame all of them for the actions of some.

This kind of thinking would be offensive if you would fill in any other race/profession/religion in the place of "Cops."

My godfather was a cop and I have a nephew by marriage who is a cop. I loved my godfather and I have known this nephew since he was 3 and he's a good person. I don't think all cops are bad. I have had cops help me.

But I sure don't assume that anyone beaten up by a cop deserved it.

A friend of mine overheard two Berkeley cops one day. This was in the 70s, after the demonstrations in the 60s. The cops are on campus, watching college students walk by.
One of them said, "Things are awfully quiet these days."
The other said, "Yeah, I sure wouldn't mind knocking a few heads together again."

Cops are people like everyone one else and some of them are villains who should be behind bars for the things they've done. They should not be protected as they are.

Sure there are bad cops. They do give the good police officers a bad name. They are over worked, under paid and unappreciated until some people need them.

You can't clump one or two bad cops into the majority of good ones.
