Turning the programme selector knob causes all the programme sequence lights to come on but the start button has no effect when pressed.

Please help with suggestions

Try unplugging and plugging back in. See if door switch clicks.

What is "jumping" ?

Does Door switch click and did you try pushing in and trying.
A temporary jump across door switch terminals will confirm the switch is the Problem.
DOES the Door switch Click?

Hello again! Yes the micro switch is working perfectly a clean sounding click.
