    Repairing lacquer finish
I have an ivory-colored dining set, but the table has been scratched by the pressure of cutting food in paper plates. There are a lot of small cuts in the table. I don't want to buy a new table and I hate having to use a table cloth to hide them, what do you suggest that I do to repair it?

Ivory colored, but what is the underside made of?

    Real wood?

    Particle board?

Is the top actually lacquered or is it a veneered laminate?

    Back to you.
