Attic is cool but outside condenser is not working
Our a/c unit in the attic seems to be running fine, the attic is cool (usually is hot) and the outside condenser just makes a short humming sound and the fan will not kick on.
I have checked all circuit breakers and the thermostat. What can I do to fix this problem? Will it hurt to allow the unit to continue to cool the attic, so that cool air at least flows down to the living space? Thank you

Yes, it just is cooler in the attic where the unit is. I was thinking maybe since the coils are up there the cool air is just not be circulated. There is nothing running outside at the condenser. There is a small amount of air coming through the ven

I did notice a humming noise at the outside condenser, when the unit is on up in the attic, even with the box off next to the unit outside
