I have a sears mower that has spark and gas but won't start - turns over but will not start

Gas: Is the plug wet after several pulls?

What happens if you put carb cleaner in the plug hole. Do you get a "sputter".

Is the choke closing properly.

Is it easier to pull than before.

Did you hit something. What occurred prior to the non-start situation. New gas? Storage?
