    Closet mould
When I go into any of the closets in my home to get something I find mould on the items that are in the closet. I have found mould on things such as clothing that is hung, purses that are on a shelf, etc. I don't know if this mould means that I need to go up into the attic and put down plastic and more insulation above the closets or what?? I would sure appreciate an answer from anyone that might know what's causing this problem. Thanks.

While I do not know what exactly is causing this problem (but yes, there is too much humidity or water somewhere) or exactly how to solve it, my advice would be to contact a home inspector in your area (any realtor could recommend one) and he or she should be able to pinpoint the problem. Taking care of the source of the mold is important, not only to save your clothes and accessories that you have spent money on, but more importantly because excessive mold in your living environment could make you very sick. The mold may already be affecting you if you have noticed an increase in allergy-like symptoms like headaches, itchy eyes, runny nose etc. The cost of solving the problem will depend on how extensive the issue is. I would try to figure it out sooner rather than later because you do not want to reach the point where you have to replace drywall, etc.
