I have a 1998 Honda Accord, I am having mulitpule problems. 1. the radiator fans won't come on unless the air conditioner is turned on. 2. If it get's really hot outside sometimes it will just cut off, it's not registering that it's running hot with the gauge.

1. One fan goes to the radiator and one fan goes to the A/C condenser. Here's how to check out the radiator fan:

2. If you are saying the engine dies, when it gets hot, I would replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:
