A warrant (which never expires) is issued and, when located, he is arrested.

The last thing they want to do, we did 100's of them in Fulton county court. If they had a clean record and were not a jerk to the judge, he would give them about 30 to 40 hours of community service, they return the next month and he drops all charges.

So go to court, pay a small fine at worst.
